淡海新市鎮是台灣近年最大的造鎮計畫，教會1-2樓是新市鎮居民休憩的咖啡廳、書房、文創藝廊與打卡景點。環繞著透明的落地門窗，讓教會與市民之間沒有阻隔的牆。大廳聳立著馬偕宣教士上岸的清水模浮雕，強烈表現教堂建造的異象，是為傳承馬偕寧願燒盡、不願銹壞的宣教精神。

藝術與休憩・新市鎮的新創中心
淡海堂坐落在淡海新市鎮，她將打破教會與社區的圍牆，提供輕食、書房、藝廊、講堂等多功能的開放空間，歡迎市民來到我們當中，參與各樣的新創藝文活動。教會結合理性、感性與靈性的服事，向市民分享生命的見證。讓上帝信、望、愛的價值觀，影響這個全新的城市。
【親子教育 兒童城堡】 5-6F
兒童城堡提供市民多元的親子教育活動，同時也是教會的兒童信仰學校。高挑的中庭掛滿兒童畫作，空中花園栽種了聖經植物，大海美景就在眼前。廚藝坊傳授社區媽媽們好手藝，讓每個家庭更甜蜜。5-6樓以一座內梯聯通起來，成為充滿探索樂趣的親子城堡。
【創新育成 未來青年】7F
開放式的新穎空間，讓青年學子打開心扉，渴望與上帝、與同學建立真誠的交流。多間練習室培育青年們才藝、創作，這裏是自由熱情的敬拜天堂。獨具一格的木作禱告室，以地中海聖經地理世界打造，活潑生動有趣。

8樓是思想研究與管理中心。外牆12處牆面上，按照聖經啟示錄21章，雕刻舊約12支派希伯來文、新約12使徒希臘文、新耶路撒冷聖城根基12寶石，表達強烈期待主再來，新聖城降臨。
【婚禮教堂 萬國禱告塔】 9F-9R
婚禮福音教堂，天空十字架大型天窗白天仰望藍天、夜間綻放光芒，讓降落台灣的飛機看見這教堂、這城市與寶島台灣，都被主耶穌的十字架買贖回來。教會洗禮池的透明設計，讓受洗者向眾人公開呈現浸入水中、與主同死同復活，獲得新生。萬國禱告塔以台灣為中心，為世界列國與台灣復興禱告。屋頂尖塔的十字架指向以色列耶路撒冷的方向。

The Church Construction Journey
From the purchase of the land to the dedication of the building, the Tamkang Church Tamhai sanctuary project took ten years to complete (2012.12.09 - 2022.05.21). A church with no savings, responding in faith to God’s call, through the unified effort of its members and the enthusiastic participation of Christians at home and abroad, was able to raise the needed $500 million NTD. Germany-based architect Lin Youhan, Behet Bondzio Lin Architekten x Fuguach Architecture and Yen Partnership Architetcts devoted five years to the building construction, which covers an area of 1,537 square metres, with a total floor area of 6,816 square metres, including nine floors above ground and an additional two floors underground. With a total height of 49.9 meters, this fair-faced concrete building is the tallest church building in Taiwan and in 2021 received Taiwan Residential Architecture Award recognition. 【City Window New Art Gallery】 1-2F
Tamhai New Town is the largest city development project in Taiwan in recent years. The 1st and 2nd floors of the church consist of a cafe, book store, cultural and creative art galleries and a check-in spot for residents of New Town to rest. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, there are no walls separating the church from the public. In the main hall stands a fair-faced concrete relief sculpture of the missionary George Leslie Mackay’s shore landing, strongly emphasizing the vision for building the church - to pass on Mackay’s missionary spirit: “I would rather burn out than rust out.”
【Psalm of Ascension Worship the King】 3-4F
As you walk upstairs through the flow of light and shadow, prepare your heart to enter the grand and spacious sacred space. Here is a sanctuary to worship God, which also serves as a 600 seat performance hall for art and culture in New Town. A large-scale retractable LED screen, electronic extendable choir stage, cross-shaped window, combined with the simple and elegant pine wood interior, present a fresh and refined architectural quality.
【Parent-Child Education Children’s Castle】 5-6F
The Children’s Castle provides a variety of educational activities for local residents, while also serving as the church’s Sunday school for children. The tall atrium is full of children’s paintings, the sky garden is planted with biblical plants, and the beautiful ocean view is before your eyes. The Kitchen workshop imparts cooking skills to mothers in the community, making every family sweeter! The 5th and 6th floor are connected by an inner ladder, making it a family-friendly castle full of exploration and fun.
【Innovation and Cultivation Future Youth】 7F
The open and original space allows youth and students to open their hearts and desire sincere relationships with God and their fellow students. Numerous practice rooms provide a place for youth to develop their talents and creativity. This is a free and passionate place of worship! The unique wooden prayer room, based on biblical Mediterranean geography, is lively and interesting.
【Theological Think Tank Administrative Center】 8F
The 8th Floor is our reflection, research and management center. The outer wall has 12 sections, following Revelation chapter 21, carved with the old testament Hebrew names of the 12 tribes and the new testament Greek names of the 12 apostles, as well as the 12 gems which form the foundation of the Holy City New Jerusalem. This all represents our great expectation of the Lord’s return and the advent of the new Holy City.
【Wedding Gospel Chapel All Nations Prayer Tower】 9F-9R
The large cross-shapes skylight looks to the bright blue skies. At night, it shines bright to bear witness to all the planes landing in Taiwan, that this church, this city, this Formosa Taiwan have been redeemed by the cross of Christ. The transparent design of the baptismal pool allows the baptized to be shown to all as they go into the water, that they have died with Christ, resurrected, and have now received new life. All Nations Prayer Tower centers on Taiwan, prays for the revival of all nations and Taiwan. The cross on the roof points toward Jerusalem.
